Event Programme Impact & Deliverables

The Folkestone & Hythe Sustainable Futures Forum was a pilot programme – delivered for and by the community; and is lead by local resident and founder of TEDxFolkestone, Liu Batchelor, and funded by the Carbon Innovation Lab (CI Lab) which is an initiative supported by Folkestone & Hythe District Council. The event ethos was around fostering collaboration to ensure we find those environmental and related social ideas which most need to be seen, heard and championed within our district.

The full event programme ran over a period of 5 months, and in addition to the finale event in April, included a 8 week speaker coaching programme, 2 community engagement events, 4 community idea development workshop, open public project call outs, community case study videos, press opportunities, social media campaign, and more!
