Our mission is create spaces where local people, groups and businesses can find, develop and take action on their ‘ikigai of sustainability’; the place where your unique skills, passion, experience and purpose can have the biggest impact and benefit both locally and globally.

Community Sustainability Showcase
Tues 21st April – 6 – 8pm – South Kent Community Church, Folkestone (opposite Folkestone Central Station)
your chance to meet, get inspired, and get involved with great local green initiatives. An evening of positive stories and networking with community eco people, projects, and groups.
PAST EVENT: Community & Business Meet-Up
Tues 27th Jan 2026 – 11.30am-2pm, The Green Room, Folkestone
A practical, relaxed meet-up for local businesses, charities, and community groups interested in creating social value and community-led environmental impact.
The Sustainable Futures Forum is community led, with the support of Folkestone & Hythe District Council – as part of their commitment to support and empower the potential of local people, groups and businesses to provide the biggest and best impact, in and for, their local community.

A series of short, regular events and accessible workshops – fostering learning, knowledge sharing and discussion – hosted at EKC Folkestone College.
