The 2024 event programme saw a second series of events – designed to facilitate learning, knowledge sharing and discussion – hosted at EKC Folkestone College

The first focus for this event series was learning and ‘incubation’ for anyone with a sustainable idea or project.  A number of open, accessible workshops provided communication skills to help project leaders learn how to engage their audience more effectively (be that volunteers, customers, funders etc).

The second part of the series provided chances to meet and breakdown silos of communication and action between community members.  Combining knowledge sharing and networking, attendees were able to learn about what was happening locally and form partnerships.

Finally, discussions around a number of key topics enabled Folkestone & Hythe District Council to collect thoughts and insights from the local community about what support and provisions were required, and inform planning for 2025 events.

The programme was designed to provide maximum impact and efficiency for attendees; providing structure categories and sessions, but with the freedom for attendees to discuss their priority topics and interest.
